Cabal 2 Beginner’s Guide: Archer Edition
Archers rely on skills for monster hunting throughout the game, so prioritize “Magic Attack.”
After leveling up, allocate points based on the “Life Stage Conditions” indicated in white text at the top by pressing C.
Archers can equip two astral bows. Regardless of which hand holds which bow, the damage is cumulative when both are equipped.
When summoning astral bows, the display shows the one equipped on the right side (character’s left hand).
When upgrading equipment, allocate ability points according to the requirements of armor. Weapons can be upgraded a bit later.
For archers, the impact of upgrading defense is noticeable, but upgrading attack is not as perceptible, even with a one-level jump.
Blue slotted equipment has stats equivalent to +2 gear but requires only +1. It’s a good choice for cost-effective upgrading.
The requirements for each +1 upgrade increase. For archers, the increase per +1 upgrade is Strength +2, Intelligence +6, Agility +3.
The total increase is 11 points. So, to equip a +1 upgraded item, your character must be three levels higher.
Complete quests diligently; don’t just lazily grind monsters for leveling up. At level 50, you need to complete quests to access new maps.
Skill Aspects:
Open the character skill bar by pressing K, which includes “Arrow Skills, Magic, Upgrades, Special.”
Level skills up to 9; beyond that, each level-up requires 2 points, so it’s not highly recommended.
In sword skills, it’s crucial to learn the skill “Instant Step,” which allows you to quickly move backward and create distance.
While beginners can learn this, reaching the Apprentice or Expert level may be challenging as only Instant Step is easy to train.
Magic is the primary attack method for archers. Learn at least three or more attack skills.
For early game, the skill “Healing Qi” is suggested. However, if you want to save money on HP potions, Healing Qi may not be very useful.
Archers don’t have high defense, but their evasion is good. Learn magic that increases evasion.
Typically, monsters won’t be able to get close, and even if they do, there’s a high chance of missing. However, if they touch you, be prepared to use potions.
Don’t rely on Healing Qi for slow healing; it could lead to fatal consequences. Drinking potions is more practical.
At the beginning, you have only two attack skills. After learning attribute arrows, it’s recommended to start with Wind Arrow for higher damage.
After reaching Apprentice level, learn Fatal Shot and Ice Arrow, especially Fatal Shot, a must-learn skill.
Fatal Shot itself increases temporary attack rate (critical rate) and adds critical damage, reaching 50% at level 9.
It also comes with penetrating and knockback effects, where penetration is 100%, and knockback is probability-based.
Ice Arrow has a freezing (?) effect. Monsters hit by Ice Arrow have a chance to be frozen in place.
Combining Ice Arrow with Fatal Shot, monsters will be knocked back and immobilized, making it difficult for them to approach.
If, unfortunately, there’s no knockback or immobilization, use Instant Step to create distance.
After reaching Apprentice High Level, you can learn Ice Qi, and at this point, you can replace Wind Arrow.
As an Advanced Mage, you will learn Burst Shot and Magic Gun. These can replace Ice Arrow and Fatal Shot.
Burst Shot is an area-of-effect skill with a range of 2 and has knockdown and knockback effects.
Magic Gun is a piercing skill, also with knockdown and knockback effects.
However, when you just learn Burst Shot and Magic Gun, because of the low level, the cooldown time is quite long.
In using a combo, you can only chain up to Combo 5, no matter how you cycle skills, you can’t cool down.
At this time, put the 4th skill as a buffer to cool down. Use the first three skills and, when reaching Combo 5, use the 4th skill.
In upgrade skills, be sure to choose those that increase the maximum HP because archers are relatively fragile.
The upgrade skill is not upgraded with the + sign but directly learned from the tutor for the next stage.
For special skills, every 10 levels, there will be a Life Stage mission, and completing it will grant a new special skill, and the old one will also increase by 1 level.
At level 10, learn “Continuous Technique,” and its usage can be referred to in the official website’s image instructions.
At level 20, learn an aura, and depending on different dialogue choices, you will get an aura with different attributes, but the effects are the same.
At level 30, learn “Splitting Arrow,” which has a cool animation when activated, and both attack and defense surge. As the name suggests, it can hit multiple targets.
At level 40, it’s just the qualification to establish a guild, but the aura and Splitting Arrow levels will still increase.
At level 50, the much-anticipated transformation skill, seemingly called “Ring Splitting Arrow,” and you will also learn the professional skill “Fatal Attack.”
