How to Get Bastion Cells in ARC Raiders

April 24, 2026 ARC Raiders

In ARC Raiders, Bastion Cells are one of the most valuable epic resources, essential for upgrading your Gear Bench to Level 3-a crucial step to unlock high-tier gear and augmentations. These rare ARC Raiders Items cannot be crafted, so knowing how to efficiently farm and collect them is key to progressing in the game. This guide breaks down everything you need to know to get Bastion Cells, from finding their primary source to mastering combat strategies and optimizing your farming routes.

What Are Bastion Cells and Why Do You Need Them?

Bastion Cells are epic, recyclable items in ARC Raiders, recognizable by their rare tier and utility in late-game progression. They weigh 1kg and can be stacked up to 3 at a time, making inventory management straightforward during farming runs.

The primary use of Bastion Cells is upgrading the Gear Bench from Level 2 to Level 3, which requires 6 Bastion Cells along with 3 Industrial Batteries and 5 Advanced Electrical Components. This upgrade unlocks the ability to craft epic and legendary augmentations, significantly boosting your combat effectiveness against ARC enemies.

If you have excess Bastion Cells, they can also be recycled for valuable materials-such as 2 ARC Motion Cores and 2 Advanced Mechanical Components-or sold for 3,000 coins each (down from 5,000 in a previous patch) as a secondary income source.

The Only Reliable Source: Scavenging Destroyed Bastions

Bastion Cells cannot be found in chests, loot crates, or as random drops from regular enemies. Their sole source is scavenging the remains of Bastions-massive, heavily armored ARC minibosses described as “fortresses on legs” due to their thick plating and imposing size.

When you destroy a Bastion, it will drop a loot cache that includes Bastion Cells. On average, you can expect to collect 1-2 Bastion Cells per defeated Bastion, though some runs may yield more. Always thoroughly loot the Bastion’s wreckage to ensure you don’t miss any Cells.

Where to Find Bastions: Best Spawn Locations

Bastions can spawn on all maps in ARC Raiders, but their spawns are not entirely random-some maps and areas have higher spawn densities, making them ideal for farming. Here are the top locations to find Bastions consistently:

1. Stella Montis (Guaranteed Spawn)

Stella Montis is the most reliable map for finding Bastions, with a guaranteed spawn in the lower loading bay area at the map’s center. This location is perfect for both solo and squad players, as you can attack the Bastion from upper levels where it has limited reach.

The upper platforms provide ample cover, allowing you to retreat and heal if needed. Additionally, the nearby metro exit makes it easy to escape or return to safety after looting the Bastion’s remains.

2. Dam Battlegrounds (High Spawn Density)

Dam Battlegrounds has the highest Bastion spawn density in the game, with Bastions patrolling the central bridge, Alcantara Power Plant perimeter, and northern industrial zone. They often appear during Harvester events and night raids, making these times ideal for farming.

The open swampland terrain lets you spot Bastions from a distance, though cover is limited. Use the toxic pools and rusted structures for cover, and take advantage of the Bastions’ predictable patrol routes along main roads.

3. Blue Gate (Dual-Level Spawns)

Blue Gate has the second-highest Bastion density, with spawns on both surface and underground levels. Surface Bastions patrol the mountain pass and central plateau, while underground Bastions guard tunnel intersections-posing a greater threat in confined spaces.

Listen for audio cues before entering underground tunnels to avoid unexpected encounters. Surface Bastions can be avoided using the plateau edges if you need to reposition or escape.

4. Other Notable Locations

Bastions also spawn in Buried City (around marketplace ruins and excavation sites), Spaceport (near launch pads, hangars, and the main terminal), and Marano Park (north of Plaza Rosa). These locations are worth checking if you’re already completing objectives in the area.

How to Defeat Bastions Efficiently

Bastions are slow but heavily armored, with powerful attacks that can devastate unprepared players. To farm Bastion Cells efficiently, you need to master strategies to take them down quickly without wasting resources.

1. Target Weak Spots

Bastions have two key weak spots: the yellow canister on their back and the yellow joints on their legs. Shooting the yellow canister until it exposes the red core will deal massive critical damage-this is the fastest way to break through their armor.

Attacking the leg joints can stun the Bastion and reduce its armor, making it more vulnerable to follow-up attacks. Focus on these areas to minimize the time and resources spent on each encounter.

2. The Deadline Mine Method (Most Cost-Effective)

The Deadline Mine method is the safest and most efficient way to kill Bastions, requiring only 1-2 Deadline Mines for a one-shot kill. Deadline Mines can be purchased from Apollo, the grenades and gadgets trader, for 15,000 coins each.

To execute this strategy, position yourself on elevated terrain directly above the Bastion. Do not alert the Bastion beforehand-an alerted Bastion will track your position and make mine placement difficult.

Drop onto the Bastion’s main body, place the Deadline Mine, and jump off immediately. The Bastion will try to shake you off if you stay too long, so speed is critical. Take cover and wait for the mine to detonate-this will destroy the Bastion in one hit.

3. Other Effective Strategies

If you don’t have Deadline Mines, use high-fire-rate weapons or heavy weapons to focus on the Bastion’s weak spots. Explosives like Trigger Nades or Wolf Pack Grenades also work well, though they may require more resources than the Deadline Mine method.

For squad players, split roles: one player distracts the Bastion while others target its weak spots or place mines. This reduces the risk of taking heavy damage and speeds up the fight.

Pro Tips for Farming Bastion Cells

To maximize your Bastion Cell farming efficiency, keep these tips in mind:

Prioritize Stella Montis for guaranteed Bastion spawns-you can clear a Bastion in as little as 2 minutes here, making it ideal for quick farming runs.

Bring shields and healing items-Bastions have powerful machine guns that can take you down quickly if you’re caught out in the open.

Recycle excess Bastion Cells only if you’ve already upgraded your Gear Bench-they yield valuable materials needed for crafting high-tier gear.

Avoid recycling Bastion Cells during raids-you’ll only get 50% of the materials. Save recycling for the safety of Speranza to get the full reward.

Farm during events like Harvester raids or launch tower events-these often increase Bastion spawn rates, letting you collect more Cells in less time.

Final Thoughts

Farming Bastion Cells in ARC Raiders requires patience, strategy, and knowledge of Bastion spawn locations and weak spots. By focusing on high-density maps like Stella Montis and Dam Battlegrounds, using the Deadline Mine method for quick kills, and prioritizing Gear Bench upgrades, you’ll collect the Bastion Cells you need to unlock late-game content. Players will thus gain more resources such as cheap ARC Raiders Materials and Coins.

Remember: Bastion Cells are a rare resource, so every defeated Bastion counts. With the right approach, you’ll be able to upgrade your Gear Bench and dominate the ARC threat in no time.
