OSRS Desert Treasure
Many new players may have heard gossip about the mighty quest called the Desert Treasure. It takes you on a journey to hunt down a special spell book. The quest includes boss fights, new areas to explore, intriguing conversations, and much more! So, without further ado, let’s begin.
Info
Being one of the most popular quests in the game, you’ll be riddled with several bosses, with each one offering a unique experience. The objective is to test whether you’re brave enough to defeat them.
Some of the bosses are immune to spells, while some are to ranged and melee combat. We’ll be looking at the ways to conquer them so don’t worry. We advise you use a Dwarf Cannon here because it’s an effect against all of them.
There are also chances of coming across a level 95 Stranger, but that is only if you’re carrying Diamonds in your inventory. Make sure you teleport out to avoid fighting him. He has a poison dagger so keep an Anti-poison potion just in case you get hit.
Stats
Since it’s a quest to test your wits, you’ll need a good enough combat level to fight the bosses. We recommend that you have at least 50 Prayer, 70 Attack, and 70 Magic before starting off. You can also complete the quest with lower levels if you’re familiar with the mechanics already. But it’s always better to be safe beforehand.
Ice Gloves
While it entirely depends on your play style and what stats you’re starting the quest with, we still recommend that you take Ice Gloves with you. The reason is that they’re ideal if you want to hold a weapon. It really isn’t a mandatory requirement because you can always go with bringing Runes to cast your spells, which is unless you want to equip a staff or weapon.
Duration
Desert Treasure is certainly a long quest to complete, maybe one of the longest in the game. Well, it should take you more than 4 to 6 hours despite there being dungeons, bosses, and NPCs to talk to. As we mentioned before, if you’re already familiar with the mechanics, then you’ll be at an advantage.
Rewards
So, what’s all the hard work for? Upon completion, the quest rewards you with 3 Quest Points and 20,00 Magic XP. That’s not it! Because you’ll also gain the ability to use Ancient Magic.
You can switch between your standard and ancient spell book by praying at an altar within the Jaldraocht Pyramid. Do note that your Prayer points will deplete here so make sure you’re conscious while switching.
What next?
Once you’ve completed the quest and reaped the reward, you can consider completing other quests that have been unlocked. Yes, Desert Treasure is a requirement to complete Recipe for Disaster, which is made up of 10 sub-quests. Players complete it to access the Culinaromancer’s Chest which holds exciting rewards!
Conclusion
Now that your questions are cleared about the Desert Treasure quest, you can embark on an adventure full of exciting elements. We hope our guide gave you a good hint of what’s coming. Good luck!
